OLIVE GARDEN WARMS UP THE WINTER MONTHS
WITH TWO NEW DISHES New rigatoni entrées added to menu for a limited time
ORLANDO, Fla. – Olive Garden will add Five Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni with Chicken and Five Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni with Sausage to its menu as a special promotion from Jan. 1 through Feb. 11, 2007. The new dishes both start with classic Italian rigatoni – long, ridged tubular pasta – that is stuffed with a blend of mozzarella, Parmesan, Asiago, fontina and ricotta cheeses, then crimped at the edges. The pasta in Olive Garden's Five Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni with Chicken is tossed in a garlic-herb Alfredo sauce with fresh basil and Roma tomatoes and topped with sliced grilled chicken. A medium-bodied, crisp Italian white wine, such as Bertani Due Uve, a blend of Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, pairs well with this dish. Olive Garden's Five Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni with Sausage is served in a creamy tomato-alfredo sauce, then layered with grilled Italian sausage and melted mozzarella. Robert Mondavi Private Selection Cabernet Sauvignon complements the savory flavor of the sausage. Olive Garden is the leading restaurant in the Italian dining segment with 595 restaurants, more than 70,000 employees and $2.6 billion in annual sales. Olive Garden is a division of Darden Restaurants Inc. (NYSE:DRI), the world’s largest casual dining company. |
