Disability Mentoring Day Program
Olive Garden was once again a national sponsor of the National Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) program of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), celebrating many years as an active participant in the program. The DMD program is a national career development effort for students and job seekers with disabilities.
The DMD program typically takes place during the months of October or November. Olive Garden works with the AAPD and its nationwide network of DMD Coordinators to schedule & host DMD program activities. Our restaurants support the program by either hosting lunch for up to 10 individuals with disabilities and DMD coordinators, teaching them about different team member roles at the restaurant, delivering complimentary meals to support a DMD activity, or by hosting one to three individuals with disabilities to participate in a job shadowing activity.
To find a DMD Coordinator near you, or if you are interested in serving as a DMD Coordinator in your local community, please visit the AAPD’s official
